Winter Jackets.

Hello! It has been much too long since I posted a blog. It has been a hard year for me, and I really started to believe I would never get this blog off the ground. However, I have just become inspired! So, here I am once more!

It is winter here in Canada, and I am freezing. Today it is minus 41 with windchill!!! Ahh!

Ever since I was a little girl, I hated wearing my winter jacket. For many years I always had second hand jackets, because they are expensive and I was still growing. I love shopping in consignment stores, but for something like a winter jacket it can be hard. Especially because the winter season is so long here and you want to find the perfect fitting jacket that will last for a few years.

Currently I have a "ski jacket" I have had it for the past 4 years, and to be honest I never really have liked it. I have yet to find a winter jacket that I really love. I need it to be warm, and to look nice.
These are some of the jackets I have been interested in getting. All 3 are from Old Navy. I am hoping to purchase a jacket for under $100.

What do you think of winter jackets?

Warm wishes to all of you!

Complicated curls?

Hello artistic people!
Just recently, I had my hair cut quite short. For a long time, I had long hair- that easily looked good and framed my face nicely. There is only so long I can go for before I am screaming for a change though. So... I go to the hair dresser, I told her to take quite a bit off, layer it, and fix my bangs. Haha She did a good job, but I was in shock. I was constantly asking myself how I was going to be able to keep up with it. I have naturally straight hair, but it still has a mind of its own. It goes all over the place. So, right after the trip to the hair dresser I came home and got out my straight iron.
For at least the last 3 years I have only used a straight iron to curl my hair. For everyone who knows how to do that, you know how awesome it is. The curls stay in for a very long time without ever using hair spray, it is faster, and you can achieve much tighter curls. For everyone who has no idea what I am talking about, I will explain. To curl your hair with a straight iron, you take your hair between the 2 irons, clamp it tight, twirl it around once, and pull through. In a future post I will make a step by step guide.
I like my hair curled. I have always loved the classy look of it. Now, with my hair short- I can curl it very fast. A bonus to the length =)
To keep my hair under control, make the curling easier, prevent static, and keep my hair from burning, I use Sunsilk daring volume cream. I had received this cream as a bonus product, but it quickly became one of my favorite hair products. It is nice and simple. It is not sticky, and it does not add extra oil to the hair. It is also very versatile. It can be used for many different purposes.
So, next time you are looking for a change, be willing to take a big risk. You might find it a lot of fun.

A cold friday afternoon...

I feel bad because I had planned to post much sooner than this. Sometimes life just gets the best of you. Anyway, today I had some fun with tights and leg warmers- both are very versatile. This winter, leg warmers have become part of my everyday wear. They are extremely comfortable, and can add a lot of excitement to outfits!

Boredom does not exist within creativity.

Painting a picture...

Overflowing solid colours- my closet is bursting with plain t-shirts. The possibilities are endless, but boredom can get the best of us all. I am not quite sure how this happened, creativity overtakes me while I am in the store buying multiples of basics. Early mornings do not offer me creativity however....only exhaustion. Somehow over the last month, I went from having no plain white shirts- to having 4! Be careful what you wish for. An open blank canvas, waiting to be painted- waiting to have your personality burst through. Accessorizing is a white shirts best friend.

The Beginning.

Clothes do not define who I am. It is not the fabric that gives me a name, and it is not a price tag that gives me authority. Fashion is self expression- fashion is an art.
Art... in its purest form, comes straight from the soul. It is the result of emotion, and the product of release. To say clothes mean little to me, is not a lie- but art means everything.
Fashion is not defined by a super model, it is not a runway, and it is not a brand. Fashion is whatever you make it. So this is where I start. This is where I will share a part of myself. Art is not a series of varying skills or practices- it fly's free.
